Metro Meals on Wheels

Seniors on fixed incomes are struggling with the increased costs of food, bills, and medication, and they are feeling especially isolated right now. They depend on their community to get by. Meals on Wheels helps alleviate both hunger and loneliness for our neighbors.

In 2021, Meals on Wheels programs in the Twin Cities served more than 1.7 million meals to 10,500 individuals. The need is greater than ever as the pandemic and inflation continue to take a toll on those who are most vulnerable.

Meals on Wheels programs are working hard to ensure that everyone who needs assistance gets hot, fresh meals, and volunteers provide consistent check-ins that help seniors feel less lonely.
