Mesabi Symphony Orchestra

The Mesabi Symphony Orchestra is YOUR orchestra on the Iron Range and Northeastern Minnesota. We are a community orchestra – we are dedicated to the communities of the Iron Range and Northeastern Minnesota, and we draw our musicians from those same communities. You love music, and so do we! That’s why we bring great music from the professional orchestral repertoire to you right here, on the Range, where we all live and work.

The Mesabi Symphony Orchestra is committed to being part of the thriving arts scene we enjoy here in Northeastern Minnesota. Our 2024-2025 season is underway and we had a fantastic opening weekend of concerts earlier this month. "A Night at the Movies" featured film scores of blockbuster movies from the Big Screen where we performed in Virginia and Ely. Our February concert will feature two very talented vocal soloists that won our Young Artist Competition. You'll be impressed and blown away by their talent and musicianship! Our season concludes in April as we perform one of the most iconic pieces ever written - Beethoven's 5th Symphony. In addition to Virginia and Ely, you'll also be able to see us perform in Hibbing during our season-closing weekend. 

If you play an instrument, or if you would like to learn, please contact us -- we have openings for musicians of all skill levels in our orchestra or our Chamber ensemble. MSO musicians are your friends and neighbors, your kids' teachers, the people you see in church or at the grocery store, all united by our love of music. 

Like orchestras everywhere, MSO relies on the generosity of our supporters to make our programs possible. Your donation to Mesabi Symphony Orchestra will help us raise $5,000 so that we can continue presenting entertaining and meaningful orchestra performances to people of all ages.
