Much like the heart that supports life, a community's heart functions to support and sustain its members. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we provided more than $730,000 in direct assistance last year. We thank you for your support!

Since its founding in 1986, Midtown Assistance Center (MAC's) mission has been to provide emergency assistance to low-income working Atlantans to help prevent homelessness and hunger during periods of crisis. MAC believes that when families meet basic needs and prosper, the entire community prospers. As a result, our programs are designed to ensure that struggling families have a place to turn to when life's difficulties prevent progress towards prosperity. Over the past 38 years, MAC has expanded our service area to assist 10 different zip codes in the City of Atlanta.

• $25 provides a MAC client with transportation to work until they receive their first paycheck
• $40 provides groceries for someone in need
• $50 gives a new employee work boots that are required for their job
• $150 keeps the lights and gas on for a family
• $500 keeps a family facing eviction in their home
