Give the Gift of Peace

“I never worried about George when he was in Lyngblomsten’s care.” –Gen Sowada

Gen’s caregiving journey began when her husband, George was diagnosed with memory loss in 2002.  For more than 10 years Gen was his primary caregiver.

When Gen could no longer take care of George at home, Gen and her family accessed Lyngblomsten’s group respite program.  The Gathering and Caregiver Coaching Services.  Eventually her family accessed the Lyngblomsten Care Center to provide the skilled nursing care George needed.  According to Gen, they received much more than just quality services, “The employees were so unbelievably nice, surrounding us with love and support.  Having been married for 60 years, it was difficult living separately, but I never worried about George when I was away from him because I knew he was getting excellent care.”

Lyngblomsten supportive services truly bring relief and peace of mind to caregivers and help to keep older adults at home longer, where they want to be.  Without your philanthropic support, these services simply would not exist or be accessible to those with limited means.

In this time, we invite you to join us in giving the gift of peace.  Your gift will help to bring peace and support to caregivers, like Gen and her family – the support that each of us would want if we were walking their journey.

Your tax-deductible gift of $20, $50, $100, $500 or whatever you are able to give means an older adult will have access to the opportunities and services to live life as fully and vibrantly as possible.

On behalf of all those whom we are privileged to serve, thank you for giving the gift of peace!

We wish you blessings, and good health!
