Keep Democracy Strong - Year After Year

Thanks to our mighty volunteers, the League of Women Voters Minneapolis helped our beloved city reach its highest voter turnout for a municipal election ever!

From registering voters to education about ranked-choice voting to get-out-the-vote efforts to City Charter and candidate forums (viewed by thousands), the League of Women Voters Minneapolis played a critical role engaging citizens and mobilizing them to vote this year. And our Reimagining Public Safety Committee provided voters with an in-depth understanding of the many organizations and institutions that impact policing - a top concern for voters after the death of George Floyd - and the factors that can lead to real change.

Now we pivot to the 2022 Mid-term Elections because democracy is not an achievement, but an aspiration, and the work is never done.

Help us not only maintain, but to expand our work by making a contribution today. In the words of the late Sen. John Lewis at the signing of the Voting Rights Act:  "The vote is precious. It is almost sacred. It's the most powerful non-violent tool we have in a democratic society, and we've got to use it!"

For more than one hundred years, the League of Women Voters  of Minneapolis has worked to increase understanding of major policy issues and to influence public policy through education and advocacy.  We are non-partisan and do not support or oppose any political party or candidate.
