Here Today! Here Tomorrow!

Life House works with and provides comprehensive supportive services to homeless and youth navigating life transitions from the ages of 14 to 24. Our vision is no youth will be left homeless, alone, uncared for, fending for themselves on the streets. We are committed to reconnecting youth to their dreams.

For over 30 years, Life House has been working with youth and young families to become stabilized, heal and thrive through our programs.

Our four core program areas include:

  • Youth Drop-In Center: This is the hub of where we connect with youth. We provide meals, hygiene supplies, showers, laundry, independent living skills, activities and groups.
  • Housing Programs: We have 50 units of supportive housing that range from a youth emergency shelter (The Loft) to permanent supportive housing. We also provide housing for Safe Harbor youth who are survivors of sexual exploitation and/or human trafficking (Sol House and Northern Lights).
  • Mental Health & Wellness: Provides no-cost, no insurance needed mental health and wellness services such as diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, substance abuse counseling, parenting education and more. We have Licensed Clinical Social Workers, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, recovery specialists and other team members with an array of skills.
  • Futures Education & Employment: Offers an alternative pathway for youth who are pursuing educational credentials, college guidance, job skills training, transitional employment and employment search assistance.

Through building relationships with trustworthy and caring adults, a youth's unhealthy behavioral patterns and mental health crises are reduced. Our staff ensure all youth who enter our doors are safe and feel unconditionally accepted, welcomed and nurtured. As an organization, we are committed to fostering multicultural perspectives where our youth feel valued, respected, listened to, and encouraged to explore all the possibilities in their lives.

Together, we can ensure that no young person is left to fend for themselves on the streets and we can provide the opportunity for them to reconnect to their dreams.

Together with help from supporters like you, we ensure our homeless youth are cared for, so that no young person is ever left to fend for themselves on the streets.

We are deeply grateful for the support of our work in the Northeast Region of Minnesota.
