PK-8th Grade

Life Academy began as Bloomington Christian School (BCS) in the fall of 1995. In 2005, the name changed to Life Academy and continues the BCS mission, "to provide excellence in education in an atmosphere of safety and love while preparing and equipping school-age children for the purposes God has for them".

Our 2018-2019 theme is “Set Apart.”   God is calling us, our children, and families to be set apart in the culture we live in and be a light to this present generation and for generations to come. 1 Peter 1:15-16 states, “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: Be holy, because I am holy.” This theme will be woven into everything we do, say, and study this year.  Students will learn that they are set apart as God’s children to do good works for God’s purposes and glory.

We are committed to helping students grow intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and socially.  We believe that the partnership between Life Academy, home, and church will ensure their success and their growth.  We will commit to do our part.

Life Academy also places purpose and focus on service to the community and to less advantaged countries.  In previous school years, our students worked together to rake lawns for the surrounding neighbors, collected shoe boxes and served at Operation Christmas Child packaging facility, served on campus to paint, clean, and organize specific areas in our facility, and put together "Blessing Bags" for the local police department. Also, a group of 8th grade students traveled to Guatemala to serve for one week at an orphanage near Guatemala City.

Life Academy is considered a ministry of LifeChurch, however the School maintains responsibility for separate budget and operating expenses.  In order to serve the families called to our school, we endeavor to keep our tuition as low as possible. Life Academy is not a school supported by endowments or large donor base. We are seeking resources to support the mission and purpose of our school without putting additional financial strain on our families.

Our most pressing financial need is for scholarships. Life Academy also seeks funds for flexible classroom seating, lunchroom tables, a playground upgrade, an intercom system and safety technology, supplies for service projects, and supplies for the annual mission trip to Guatemala.  Please feel free to contact the School for additional information.

Life Academy is fully accredited through Minnesota Non-public School Accreditation Association (MNSAA) and a member school of the Minnesota Independent School Forum (MISF).
