Let’s Plant Trees is rebuilding Minnesota forests by giving away FREE native tree seedlings and teaching people how to plant and care for them so they grow for generations. We work directly with Minnesota growers to put climate ready species into the hands of the families, schools and communities who need them most.

This spring we are giving away 50,000 free native seedlings across Northern and Northeastern Minnesota. Next spring, we are growing that to 100,000 free seedlings and expanding south. These trees will help restore forests that have been hit hard by pests, severe storms, wildfire pressure and a changing climate.

And every single one of them is free.

Why Trees Matter in Minnesota

Forests across the North Shore, the Iron Range and the greater Northwoods are struggling. Warmer winters, new pests, invasive species, fire pressure and intense storm damage are all taking a toll.
