Legacy Refuge

Legacy Refuge is non-profit orphan ministry that has been working with Ukrainian orphans for almost seven years. Our mission is to see every orphan know Christ, heal from trauma, and live a healthy, productive life. We strive to accomplish this by creating revolutionary initiatives that reach, impact, and empower orphans everywhere.

Orphan Camps

One of our key initiatives is our Vacation Bible School-like camps that we do for the younger kids in the orphanages we minister to. These camps are full of activities, teaching, and fun for everyone involved! They also give us a chance to connect with kids in comfortable settings to develop the deeper bonds that can bring about healing and restoration. We have done countless camps over the years and have seen a lot of fruit come out of them.

Filtered Hope

Filtered Hope is our initiative specifically designed for older and aged-out orphans. The statistics that orphans face when they age out of the system are grim at best, and we decided to do something about it. Filtered Hope is a barista and life skills program that leverages coffee to teach students how to become healthily independent. We teach them personal development skills, job skills, and how to make great specialty coffee in an effort to equip them to be able to support themselves and build a healthy and productive life.

Baristas on Mission

Baristas on Mission is one of our newest initiatives that was created to raise up the next generation of leaders in orphan care by developing and building up young leaders within the space. We train college-aged kids in leadership skills, personal development skills, and barista training with the purpose of helping us lead our Filtered Hope programs in the field. This program combines theoretical learning and hands-on experience to produce capable leaders with a heart for raising the banner for the world's most vulnerable.

Spain Property

One of the more recent developments for our ministry has been the purchase of a property in Spain to aid our mission globally. This property has 4 primary purposes:

1. To serve as a global hub for Legacy Refuge ministry

2. To provide respite and rest for orphan caregivers

3. To host extended orphan care programs

4. To train new leaders in the world of orphan care

While we were able to raise the downpayment to be able to move forward with purchasing the property, we still need help in paying it off in full.
