WHO WE ARE

Early Childhood Family Education is a Lakeville Area School District Community Education program strengthening families with kids birth-5.

Growing Together: For You and Your Child: The first half of each class is devoted to activities planned by a licensed early childhood teacher for parents and children to explore together.

Growing Independently: For Your Child: The remaining portion of each class is for children to have fun learning through play using art, movement, games and stories with the early childhood teacher, classroom assistant and the other children. (Non-separating class options are available)

Growing Confidently: For You: While children take part in the children’s program, parents join with other parents in an informal group setting for discussion time led by a licensed parent educator.

WHAT YOUR DONATION MEANS

Families of young children are needing a safe environment and community to learn and explore with their children. Sometimes young families need financial support to access these opportunities. Teachers and staff need supplies to meet the needs of our community - even more so now with the added hardship of keeping a healthy environment with COVID-19.

We fundraise to provide supplies and educational opportunities to these families and teachers. Our typical fundraisers are not available due to the community risk of COVID-19. Our families and teachers also need more supplies to continue to meet (and ideally exceed) the heath safety standards to limit risk.

OUR GOAL

We are aiming to reach $2500 through fundraising to provide Classroom Education Kits to the program. Each kit is $500 and includes items such as: book sets for circle time, imaginative play toys (dress up clothes, baby dolls, kitchen supplies, farm animals, etc), paint and craft supplies, magnetic tiles, wooden blocks, etc.

We also would like to impact our community by providing support to families who would not typically be able to join Early Childhood Family Education programs due to financial strains. Helping families by providing the classroom fee can enhance our community efforts tremendously.

DON'T FORGET!

Your donation could be doubled! Most employers provide Donation Matching to their employees. This employee benefit can be up to even 100% donation matching which would boost our fundraising exponentially. You can make all the difference in our community by utilizing this free-to-you program benefit. Check it out!
