Lake Superior Zoo

The Lake Superior Zoo strives to inspire lifelong connections between people and wildlife through meaningful animal experiences, conservation, and education. As the only zoo in Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin, the Zoo provides a unique place where visitors can form meaningful connections with animals and become inspired to care for wildlife and the environments that sustain us.

For more than a century, the Lake Superior Zoo has brought animals, families, and communities together. Located on more than 19 beautiful acres along the Kingsbury Creek in Duluth, Minnesota, the Zoo offers a place of discovery and connection for visitors all year round. Through animal exhibits, enrichment demonstrations, educational programs, camps, events, and hands-on experiences, guests are invited to explore the wild, right in their own backyard.

Behind every memorable visit is a deeper mission. The Lake Superior Zoo participates in cooperative conservation programs that help protect threatened and endangered species, supports field conservation efforts around the world, and promotes sustainability and environmental stewardship close to home. Our animals serve as ambassadors for wildlife, inspiring visitors to care about species survival and take meaningful steps toward protecting the planet we share.

Every ticket purchased, membership renewed, donation made, and volunteer hour shared helps strengthen the Zoo’s ability to care for animals, educate future generations, and support conservation efforts locally and worldwide.
