Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad - access to St. Louis River Estuary, traveling the historic rail corridor on vintage passenger cars

The Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad Company is an all-volunteer passenger railroad dedicated to the preservation of railroad history and restoration of railroad artifacts.   The original LS&M RR into Duluth, Mn, was completed in 1870.  The current LS&M RR was organized in the early 1980s and reserves 5.2 miles of the original railroad right-of-way. This excursion train follows the beautiful St Louis River Estuary while traveling along the first railroad corridor into Duluth. The railroad operates vintage equipment to provide passengers with the experience of rail transportation as it was in the 19th Century.  This is a one-of-a-kind, unique railroad experience. 

Your donation to support our all-volunteer organization is greatly appreciated.  All funds raised go to maintaining our operations including track, rolling stock, equipment, restoration and more.   We are dedicated to the preservation & operation of vintage railroad equipment used for this excursion ride.
