By January, many classroom shelves are bare. Teachers pay out of pocket, and students return without the essential supplies they need to learn. Supplies aren’t just materials—they’re tools for participation, creativity, and confidence. This Give to the Max Day, you can restock classrooms and restore confidence.

Why It Matters: The Mid-Year Gap
As the school year moves forward, classroom shelves start to empty and teachers’ creativity is put to the test. Educators like Cami Dahlstrom, a 20-year classroom leader, continually find ways to keep lessons engaging—even as supplies run low. By midyear, many students return from winter break eager to learn but without the essential tools that help them participate and feel prepared.

That’s where Kids In Need Foundation (KINF) steps in. We help restock classrooms nationwide, ensuring teachers have the resources to teach and every student has what they need to learn with confidence. Because when classrooms stay supplied, learning stays strong—and every child can continue to grow, create, and thrive.
How It Works
- You Give -- $10 restocks a student; $250 restocks an entire classroom
- We Pack -- Volunteers prepare kits filled with pencils, notebooks, markers, glue sticks, crayons and more. Classroom kits are built to last a semester.
- We Deliver -- Supplies are shipped directly to teachers and students in qualifying schools nationwide.

At the start of the year, everything feels new—fresh pencils, crisp notebooks, bright markers full of promise. But as months pass, those supplies fade. Pencils wear down, pages fill, and for many families, restocking isn’t simple. For teacher Cassie McLain, it’s a reminder of how quickly the basics disappear—and how deeply it impacts students when the learning continues, but the supplies don’t.
Your support directly impacts teachers like Cassie as they enter the second half of the year--relieving educators and students alike of having to conserve resources to make it to the end of the school year, and giving them the tools they need to succeed.
