The M.T. Gunderson home is a Victorian style home listed on the National Register of Historic places. Tours are offered the third weekend from June - Sept., or by appointment.  Various activities are held at this home throughout the year.
Heirs of Martin and Ella Gunderson donated the home and its contents to the citizens of Kenyon in 1975 after the death of Hattie, the eldest daughter.
An example of George Barber architecture, the house was built in 1895 based on plans that Mrs. Gunderson found in a catalog. The materials for building the house were kitted in Knoxville, TN and shipped to Kenyon via rail.
The KAHS maintains and repairs this historical house using donations and gifts, and funds raised via tours, rentals, and various activities including a Holiday Cookie walk.
