Justice Page Middle School PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is a partnership between parents, teachers, and the community. Justice Page PTA is a non-profit unit of the National PTA. The main role of our local PTA is to build strong working relationships among parents, teachers, and schools, in support of students. We organize social events, family-oriented activities, and collaborative projects that bring people together. This sense of community fosters a supportive network, promotes school spirit, and strengthens the overall community and school culture.

Justice Page PTA’s mission is to make every student’s potential a reality. Justice Page PTA honors our diversity and advocates for a safe, positive, inclusive learning environment so that every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Among many other things, our PTA helps plan and execute engagement efforts to support our school with materials and activities that are not in the school budget. As public schools in the U.S. are famously underfunded, PTAs help bridge the gap.

Justice Page PTA’s goals for 2023/24: Below are examples of the benefits we can continue to offer our kids with your help!

  • Field Trip/Assembly Scholarships: The PTA helps fund school assemblies and grants scholarships for field trips for those unable to pay. PTA also helps with transportation costs, when needed.
  • The Rhino Store: PTA stocks this JPS incentive program with trinkets and snacks.
  • Workshops, Tools & Activities: The PTA Social and Emotional Wellness (SEW) Committee provides workshops, activities, and classroom support.
  • Classroom Library Support: PTA sponsors book fairs at neighborhood stores as fun school community gatherings while funding teacher book requests. (Teachers request lists of desired books that exceed the budget provided by MPS.)
  • Conferences: Teachers work hard to prepare and meet with their kids' families to discuss their progress. PTA supports our teachers with meals during conferences twice annually.
  • Staff Appreciation Week: In the first full week in May we provide meals and special treats to honor our hard-working JPS teachers and staff.
  • Student Support: Those with financial need are provided school supplies, yearbooks, JPS spirit wear, and other clothing. PTA also helps with specific counselor requests.
  • Landscaping/School Beautification: A welcoming school is important. Our PTA provides seasonal planters and upkeep to our plant beds with fresh plants and mulch. We also support other special beautification projects reviewed annually.
  • Eighth Grade Promotion Celebration: Every year JPS celebrates the accomplishments of our eighth graders by providing a promotion ceremony reception for our eighth-grade families as well as a dance party.
