We are a spiritually grounded community united in providing sanctuary for all who enter. We seek to open ourselves to the healing and transforming power of God’s love as we seek to follow the life of Jesus: honoring our deepest differences, seeking justice and mercy, discovering and implementing our gifts, and nurturing our children.
Judson is proud to have supporters like you who make our wonderful church the flourishing, joy-filled, and healing community that it is.
Join us Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
Judson Memorial Baptist Church
Travis Norvell, Pastor
In 2013 we performed a number of marriages since legalizing in Minnesota; a plaque was given to the church from the Meals on Wheels program thanking us for 40 years of support; presented the 10th year of Street Fest; led the church service at Lake Harriet Bandshell; had a Blessing of the animals service; a small "outside library" was presented and is used by the neighborhood; and kicked off our Music Series performing the "Requiem" by John Rutter with Judson's choir, a small orchestra and it was directed by the music director at Judson Church, John De Haan. In 2014 we have participated in raising funds for homeless youth, collecting household items for refugees coming to start a new life in Minnesota, and collected fresh food during the summer from our gardens for the food shelf. The Minneapolis Trombone choir presented their 41st concert (all of them at Judson) in March. On November 9 the Judson Music Series will be presenting the Holocaust Cantata - Songs from the Camps on the Presented on the 86th anniversary of Kristallnacht. These are just a few of the many things happening at Judson this year.
