$75,000 Goal

Joyce Uptown Foodshelf has been serving the Uptown Minneapolis community since 1969, providing a no-questions-asked food pantry for those in need. On average, Joyce serves nearly 1,500 families each month, distributing over 80,000 pounds of food. Since the start of the pandemic, our food distribution has increased by nearly 250%, and the number of households we serve has grown by over 150%. The majority of those we serve are immigrants and people of color, many of whom have been especially impacted by the pandemic, rising consumer prices, and increasing costs of food and gas. At Joyce, we are committed to continuing to provide food to all who need it—regardless of income or geographic location. If you need food, Joyce Uptown Foodshelf is here for you.

Looking ahead to 2026, we ask for your help in ensuring we can meet the growing demand and continue to offer nutritious food, a welcoming environment, and a strong sense of community. We have a food grant that have been cancelled by the federal government, so funding this coming year will be critical to maintain service levels.

To kickstart our fundraising efforts, the first $35,000 in donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Joyce Board of Directors and Lake Harriet UMC. And remember, all donations are 100% tax-deductible.Please join us in this critical effort to support our neighbors in need.
