Joyce Uptown Foodshelf is a no questions asked food shelf in the heart of Uptown Minneapolis since 1969. On an average month, Joyce serves nearly 1000 families with over 70,000 lbs of food.  Since the start of the pandemic, we have increased our output of food by nearly 200%, and have seen an increase in households served by over 150%. The majority of our shoppers are immigrants and people of color, and all have been impacted both by the pandemic, but also from rise in consumer goods and increasing food and gas prices. Joyce stands firm in that we will continue to serve all who need food, regardless of income or geographic location. If you need food Joyce Uptown Foodshelf is there for you.

Please join us in ensuring that in 2024 we are able to rise to the challenges and serve the community with great nutritious food, a welcoming environment, and a strong community. Over 80% of our budget comes from individual donors, we literally could not do this without your support. The first $9000 in donations will be matched dollar for dollar by the Joyce Board of Directors and Lake Harriet UMC. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
