The JK Movement -- Believe. Dream. Soar!

The JK MOVEMENT 

The JK Movement is a grassroots, youth-driven, healing-centered organization rooted in Saint Paul’s historic Rondo Community. Every year, more than 1,400 young people ages 13–24 find safety, belonging, and the opportunity to dream bigger with JKM.

Here, youth are not just participants—they are not "problems-to-solve" they are "solution and future-makers".    Guided by lived-experience mentors, navigators, and trusted peer ambassadors, young people transform their gifts and talents into tools for **solution-making, community change, and lifelong success

Why Your Gift Matters

Your support fuels three pillars of youth empowerment provided by the JKM:

1. Career Pathway Corridor – Hands-on career experiences, skill building, internships and work experience opening door to critical career pathways, including          digital gaming, technology, trades, health and wellness, hospitality, etc.  This is done through "earning and learning" initiatives and through JK Works                     Entrepreneur self-discovery cohorts.

2. Self-Empowerment & Leadership – Healing-centered mentorship and youth-led engagement that strengthens identity, wellness, and youth voice.  The JKM            Youth Engagement Squad (YES) serves as the advisory, programming and policy voice for the organization, along with our Youth Peer Ambassadors. 

3. Community Engagement – Youth, community, families participate in recreation,services and celebration that build connection, belonging, and hope.  The ]            annual family holiday toy give-away; back-to-school back-pack give-away along with the regular gatherings of elders and the Community Action Safety Team     (CAST) help to strengthen community involvement and engagement.

Together, these pathways ensure youth are equipped not only to imagine brighter futures—but to create them.

JKM youth go on to graduate, improve grades, increase attendance, and lead community initiatives that uplift peers across Rondo and the Twin Cities.
