The Itasca County Family YMCA responds to community needs by…
Serving people of all incomes, ages and abilities.
We serve more than 5000 people in diverse communities within Itasca County. We bring together young and old, men and women, people of all faiths, backgrounds and incomes. No one is turned away for inability to pay. Scholarships, subsidies and outreach provide critical access to low-income families.
Serving vulnerable populations in our community.
Children: Our YMCA serves 4467 members -- 25% of those members are children and youth. The YMCA provides a wide range of activities to foster healthy, productive children, including a youth center, youth tutoring center, youth sports, youth & family special events. All youth activities incorporate the YMCA Core Values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith.
Low Income Families: We are one of the largest providers of affordable child care in the community. We offer high-quality child care to working families, and financial assistance is available.
Elderly: One of the fastest growing segments of our membership is members over 60 years of age. We provide a free, drop-in center, specialized fitness programs, social activities and events to assist seniors in continuing to live full and healthy lives.
