Our "No" Protects Democracy. Our "Yes" Shapes the Future.

We are living through an authoritarian crisis. The current administration is brazenly dismantling healthcare, slashing safety nets, and rolling back rights, all to hand even more power to the wealthy few. Their strategy is clear: move fast, sow chaos, and convince us we’re powerless to stop them.

But we are not powerless. Democracy researchers tell us that when countries start to slide toward authoritarianism, a U-Turn is possible when everyday people organize together to build a broad "no" to domination, fear, and hopelessness, and an even stronger "yes" to a future where everyone belongs.

That’s what ISAIAH is doing across Minnesota: We are organizing people to say no to the politics of division and despair and to shape a powerful "yes" rooted in care, dignity, and justice.

Over the past year, we have been organizing Minnesotans across race, place, and faith, to craft a shared "yes" agenda, a roadmap for a multiracial democracy and a caring economy that works for all of us. As we head into 2026, we are preparing to bring that vision to life as a better offer for our state and our nation--an offer of belonging instead of fear, shared abundance instead of manufactured scarcity, and hope instead of despair.
