Hopkins Rugby empowers local youth by developing physical fitness through rugby, promoting leadership skills, and building self-esteem.

Since our inception in 1999, Hopkins Rugby has coached over 650 local boys and girls -- many at-risk youth -- to work as a team, communicate, and develop as leaders.  Respect, teamwork, commitment, camaraderie, integrity, passion, and discipline are values of our Club.

We are run by volunteers with no paid staff.  We rely solely on dues from players and contributions from the community we serve.  But given our community demographics, not every child can afford to pay, and we take pride in never turning away any deserving child who wants to be part of our team. Financial support is needed to fund scholarships for youth in need, facility and park rentals, uniforms, referee fees, travel and other costs.

Our players work hard both on and off the pitch.  Check out this article about our ongoing scrap metal fundraiser.  http://hopkins.patch.com/groups/hopkins-royals-rugbys-blog/p/scrap-metal-collection-helps-raise-money-for-hopkins-rugby

Many of our players go on to play rugby in college and beyond.  Take Hopkins' own Katie Johnson -- she's part of the USA Rugby Women's 7s Team training for the 2016 Olympics.  We are so proud of her hard work, leadership, and dedication to the sport.

Hopkins Rugby (also known as Hopkins Royals RFC) is a non profit, 501(c)(3) organization.  Contributions are deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
