Hope For Haiti (HFH) is dedicated to improving the lives of the poorest of the poor in the Western Hemisphere. Hope For Haiti's main focus is to provide opportunities for children, whether through education, health care or housing, to better equip them to extricate themselves from the desperate throes of poverty.

Programs

Hope for Haiti has 3 major ongoing programs Education Program: This program supports the education of over 12,000 children in over 30 schools with a particular focus on the children of the rural poor. The rural poor and particularly their children receive little if any assistance. Without our support, most of these children would not have any opportunity to rise above the brutal and debilitating poverty into which they were born. Nutrition Program: This program supports clinics and hospital programs that are designed to address the problem of chronic malnourishment suffered by the children of the poor. A strong emphasis is placed on education and pre and post natal care to help provide a long term solution to this problem as opposed to simply a feeding program. Healthcare Program: This program, through the Angel Fund, provides funding for desperately needed surgery which the poor simply have no possibility of affording. Each year hundreds of individuals are saved from death, deformity and endless suffering through this program. In addition, Hope for Haiti sends and delivers millions of dollars of medicines and medical supplies to hospitals and clinics that care for the poor. Special Projects: Each year Hope for Haiti takes on one special project, usually a large capital improvement such as a school building or hospital extension. Recent projects include a Public Health Center designed to provide preventive care and education to help lessen the number of individuals suffering from preventable diseases, a primary school in Hinche, a building for special needs children of the poor designed to provide outpatient therapy and training to permit the children to remain with their families.
