Holbrook Farms

Holbrook Farms was started in 2014 to fill a need for military widows. No services existed to serve their long-term health and mental well-being. Our retreats—located at our facility south of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota—bring widows (and now sisters of the fallen) together for a week of connection, community, and healing. It is incredible to witness the beautiful progress our women make and the sense of peace they are finally able to achieve! Holbrook Farms is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and is largely run by volunteers from all over the globe (mostly active-duty or retired military members).  

For Families of the Fallen, grief recovery is a lifelong journey. At Holbrook Farms, we provide a space for Survivors – those who have lost a spouse or sibling in military service – to heal, connect, and rebuild in a peaceful setting. Through fully funded retreats, we help Survivors find community, strength, and renewed hope.
