The history of Cook County is in the preserved buildings. It is in our restored artifacts. It is in books and pictures and art.
It is also our own stories.
Part of what makes our community unique is understanding the lives of the people in our area. This Give to the Max Day, we want your help to capture and catalog the stories of people who make up our area. Listen to just a short sample of oral history, and then help us reach more people to record these stories.
Your gift this year will help us reach more people to record these stories, and connect them to the greater picture of Cook County, Minnesota. Join us with your gift, join us with your stories, and help future generations understand their roots by hearing these words.
$50 transcribes a story
$100 helps train a family member to record a history
$250 makes recording equipment available
$500 helps us publish these stories in our digital archive for all our community members
Make your gift today, and remember to share on social media, drop an email to a friend, or of course, call someone and share your story. It helps us all build community together.
Thank you for your support!
