Highpoint Center for Printmaking

A nonprofit organization

Highpoint Center for Printmaking is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the art of printmaking. Our goal is to provide a welcoming space where artists, students, collectors, and community members of all backgrounds can create, develop skills, and learn about printmaking.

Highpoint opened in the spirit of service. Since our founding in 2001, we continue to be the only printmaking center in the country that offers such a wide range of public access and artistic opportunities. We offer educational classes for youth and adults, a cooperative printshop, artist fellowship and residency programs, fine art publishing, and exhibitions to engage the public and increase the appreciation and understanding of the printmaking arts.

By supporting Highpoint, you can expand the opportunities for artists and learners.
Thank you for your generous support!

As a nonprofit organization, your donation is tax-deductible. Your gift can go towards Educational Programming, Artist Support Programs, or areas of most need

Highpoint is a space made up of diverse creative voices and engaged individuals, who all come together to print and learn from one another. Highpoint is more than just a facility - it is a space for community and learning, and together we can continue to create new pathways and support young people from early-career to professional printmakers. – Jehra Patrick, Executive Director

READ MORE ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY PROGRAMS:

Since 2001, Highpoint has hosted over 200 public exhibitions, had over 300 co-op members, 150 education and studio interns, published over 800 unique prints and editions by 40 artists, and partnered with 95+ schools. Each year, HP serves thousands of youth through school visits, exhibits up to 10 main gallery exhibitions for the public, and much more-- that is all to say that we are a community space where education, conversations, and fine art printing happen under one roof!

OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW
Each year, Highpoint serves thousands of K-12 youth in Minnesota through in-person printmaking classes, art kits, virtual lessons, and more. Learn more about our education programs here.

PROGRAMS DESIGNED FOR ARTISTS AT ALL STAGES OF THEIR CAREERS
Highpoint supports artists through the Jerome Early Career Residency Program, the McKnight Printmaking Fellowship for mid-career artists, the Full Color Print Fellowship, and the Teaching Artist Learning Community for BIPOC artists. These programs provide a monetary stipend, access to the Highpoint co-op space, exhibition opportunities, technical support, and more.

EXPERIENCES FOR ARTISTS, VIEWERS, AND NEIGHBORS
GALLERIES annually feature work from each of Highpoint’s studio programs, and twice a year, we showcase work from other national and international artists through curated and juried exhibitions.

PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT AND VISIBILITY FOR WORKING ARTISTS
HIGHPOINT EDITIONS’ visiting artist studio is set up for an artist to apply new printing techniques to their practice, efficiently test prints, provide technical support, and encourage creative exploration.

A VIBRANT COMMUNITY
HIGHPOINT CO-OP has been a core part of HP’s mission since its founding in 2001.  Co-op artists gain access to HP's printmaking facilities, equipment, and storage, receive discounts on classes, and benefit from mutual feedback and support, encouraging individual artistic growth and contributing to a sense of community.
