Highland Friendship Club serves people with disabilities from teens through adulthood by providing a range of opportunities to develop lifelong skills, improve their health health, and create friendships and connections within their community. These opportunities include a variety of daily programming such as birthday parties, cooking classes, dances and more!
Simply put, we offer our members a CHANCE TO BELONG in their community!
Normally at this time of the year HFC holds a fundraiser called Be a Friend Luncheon. The purpose of the event is to bring together previous supporters and recruit new ones to learn about what HFC does to support its members with
disabilities. This year, due to current circumstances, we are unable to have the luncheon, so we are instead hosting an online Be a Friend Fundraiser.
Instead of a sit-down luncheon, we are sharing a short video featuring personal testimony from HFC members, their families, and HFC staff about the importance of HFC's programs. The video also includes details of how you can help support these vital programs. Along with the video, we are asking for donations to help support our programs.
HFC has a matching grant challenge of $25,000, so for every dollar donated, HFC will receive an additional dollar in grant funding up to $25,000! We would love to reach this goal of $25,000 at this year’s Be a Friend Fundraiser, so any help is greatly appreciated!
