Heartwood Montessori School - Northeast

WOW, we have met our original goal of $5,000! A huge heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our generous donors, and our Board of Directors for their matching fund! The funds raised so far will support our sustainability initiatives. 

Stretch goal: $7,000! Any additional donations will support our tuition assistance fund, increasing accessibility in providing all children the opportunity for a local, authentic Montessori education!

Give to the Max Day 2022: We are very excited to promote this year’s Give to the Max Day campaign on "going green-er".  As a school community, we focus on social justice, sustainability, and ecological awareness. With the raised funds, we hope to get garden beds, rain barrels, resources to green-up our indoor and outdoor spaces, and financially support the work our teachers and staff implement to promote sustainability and environmental awareness for our young children. We believe this work will guide our children to think critically about the world, the environment, and their role in supporting humankind. 

The funds raised will help us cover expenses and bring this dream to fruition for our families and community.

Heartwood Montessori is an inclusive community where children 16 months-6 years old are allowed to learn and explore at their own pace. Heartwood provides a welcoming toddler and preschool environment with beautiful materials that offer the child an opportunity to “learn by doing.” These carefully chosen materials help the child to build independence and feel success in their work. Our experienced educators are passionate about supporting each child on their individual journey. 

At Heartwood, children foster independence, build community, and become empowered by their work. By using time-tested, child-centered Montessori methods, we instill in them a spirit of grace, courtesy, helpfulness, compassion, and motivated action. They develop the same skills, attributes, and confidence that we proudly exhibit as Northeasters ourselves.
