Providing hearing aids and healthcare for a nominal fee to people with hearing loss who couldn't otherwise afford services.
Untreated hearing loss has a devastating impact on individuals, families, and communities. Sadly, even Medicare does not cover any cost towards treating hearing loss, nor do several health insurance plans. The Give Hear project is a non-profit community program designed to help people access hearing care. Based out of Hearing Health Clinic in Osseo, Minnesota, in partnership with HearCare Connection, we proudly provide hearing health services to underinsured and underserved individuals in our community.
We believe no one should be left out of participating fully in life because of hearing loss.
Our desire is to bridge the gap for those who cannot access hearing healthcare due to financial need. Individuals accepted into the program will receive hearing testing, hearing aids, and follow-up care at significantly discounted rates. Our mission is to build the self-worth of individuals by restoring their hearing potential and providing them with opportunities to engage with their communities through service to others.
The program operates on a reduced fee, sliding scale basis to make hearing healthcare affordable. We rely on the support of our community through grants, donations, corporate sponsorships, and volunteers to make our programs sustainable. In return, our unique Circle of Giving model gives our patients the opportunity to give back to the community through volunteer hours. For every hearing aid our patients receive through Give Hear, they return a designated amount of volunteer hours to their community. This is our way of thanking the funders and donors that make it possible for our patients to receive the gift of hearing.
