Help support HCI's efforts to create a community where ALL youth thrive!

HCI strives to make Rice County a place where youth want to grow up, live, work, and give back to the community.

We collaborate on 30+ initiatives in Northfield and Faribault that benefit youth and families – innovative programs like Growing Up Healthy, Youth on Boards, TORCH and RISE, and the Northfield Community College Collaborative.

Help support us as we work to support others! Your donation can make a difference and leave a legacy that will make the health and well-being of our children our first priority both today and tomorrow.

Here are a few of HCI’s success stories from 2022-23:

  • We engaged 1,705 youth in programming at three HCI-supported full-service community schools: Greenvale Park Elementary in Northfield, and Jefferson Elementary and Faribault Middle School in Faribault.
  • Our Early Childhood Navigators connected 186 young children with high-quality early childhood programs, and 56 families with young children participated in the two-year ParentChild+ home visiting program.
  • We supported 160 Rice County youth serving on 39 boards, commissions, and committees through Youth on Boards in Northfield and Faribault.
  • We provided academic advising and postsecondary preparation to TORCH and RISE students. 98% of TORCH seniors and 93% of RISE seniors graduated on time. Both programs support youth in grades 6–12 who are students of color, youth from low-income households, and potential first-generation college attendees.
  • We trained 888 community members in the evidence-based Mental Health First Aid, helping them identify individuals with mental health concerns and make referrals.
  • Growing Up Healthy supported 78 mobile home residents with young children (in Northfield and Faribault) in improving the safety and energy efficiency of their homes.
