We hope you’ll consider joining us in supporting Healing Hearts Rescue, as we truly work hard to save endless dogs in need, from Missouri to Texas to North Dakota to right here in Minnesota. We are a completely volunteer run organization and rely on donations to help pay for vet bills, food, supplies, foster care, training and transportation.

Healing Hearts Rescue is a 501(c)(3), volunteer-based, non-profit dog rescue dedicated to changing the lives of animals whom humans have failed by finding them safe and loving homes. Through the power of rescue, lives will be saved, hearts will be healed and you might find yourself asking “Who rescued who?”.

Donations are tax deductible and can be made by clicking the DONATE button. Any donation leading up to or at any time on Give to the Max Day (November 16th) is truly appreciated.

Healing Hearts Rescue is located in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota that  is 100% funded through adoption fees and donations. We believe every dog deserves to be loved as true members of a family and are committed to fulfilling that dream one dog at a time!

💜 💜 Our Beagle success story to warm your heart.... This is why we do what we do.

Sometimes a grainy picture of a momma beagle turns into one of the most memorable rescues. Our rescue partners near the Arkansas border in Missouri contacted us about a momma beagle and “a few beagle puppies” living under a trailer. She had been left behind when the owners moved, left to fend for herself around December, now May, she had lived on her own for months and had a litter of puppies. We said, ‘yes’, and our partners began trying to catch momma and her babies. After nearly a week of humane trapping the number of puppies grew from “a few” to eight little beagle pups! All had terrible skin conditions causing their hair to fall out, so so so many ticks, and intestinal worms that were using up their puppy precious resources. To make matters worse, momma’s milk was completely dry and babies were only 3-4 weeks old.

Our friends at Pilots N’ Paws flew this little family from south of Missouri to Blaine where their foster home started medicated baths, dewormer, and getting tick meds on board. The puppies began their journey of healing while momma, finally safe with her babies, slept, slept, and slept some more. She was so thankful. Momma Rosey was quite possibly the sweetest, most loving, and dedicated mom around. She had been keeping them alive through regurgitating her meals and continued to regurgitate for them until the last one went home at 12 weeks old. All puppies went to amazing families and momma beagle was adopted to a loving home.
