Headway Emotional Health Services

In this unprecedented time of risk to our physical health, we know the emotional health of many in our community is being negatively affected as well.  Taking care of our emotional health during times of high stress and rapid change is especially important.

We are currently providing services for both current and new clients, in person at our three locations and via telehealth. During the first few days of Minnestoa's shelter-in-place order, we trained over 130 of our therapists on telehealth. Thanks to our staff's training and our therapists' dedication, we were able to provide 1,358 telehealth sessions in March alone. Our Day Treatment program is the only one in the state still functioning, thanks to telehealth.

Headway Emotional Health is here to empower people of all ages to live an emotionally healthy life through treatment and education.

Our programs and services include: 

• Individual and group outpatient mental health services for ages 0-80+
• Psychological assessment and testing
• Day Treatment for grades 7-12
• School-based therapy services in over 45 schools around the metro area, including schools in the Anoka-Hennepin School District 11 and the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School Districts 191 and 197
• Parent education
• Targeted Case Management for youth with mental health issues and their families
• Services for children and families affected by sexual abuse
• Specialized therapy services including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Community-based Truancy intervention
• Juvenile Diversion services
