History Center of Olmsted County

A nonprofit organization

$739 raised by 8 donors

The History Center of Olmsted County is your place to experience, explore, and examine Olmsted County's history. We are located on 54 acres in southwest Rochester and our grounds include two historic farmsteads, historic buildings, and the History Center museum itself with many exhibits highlighting local history. We collect and preserve all aspects of Olmsted County history and currently have approximately 20,000 artifacts in our collection.

As we approach our 100th anniversary, the History Center of Olmsted County is preparing for a bold new chapter. To continue serving as a vibrant resource for all, we plan on rejuvenating our campus and creating a connected, welcoming space where history is not only preserved but experienced. All donations we receive through Give to the Max 2025 and GiveMN will support our Capital Campaign and count toward the Jeffris Matching Grant. Click here to learn more about our Capital Campaign and the matching grant!
