As long as our economy forces moms to choose between their families, jobs, and basic needs, Haven Housing will be a place for women and children to stabilize and explore options for their future. And we need your help to do it.
ABOUT HAVEN HOUSING
Haven Housing is North Minneapolis’ provider of emergency shelter and supportive housing for women and children. Through our three programs that provide varying levels of support, we pursue our mission to provide women and children in crisis or transition with a stable environment and the opportunity to explore options for their future because everyone deserves a haven.
Give Where It's Needed Most
When you choose to give where it's needed most, you give Haven Housing the flexibility to meet a woman's or child's unique needs. Your gift helps provide essentials like clothing and hygiene products, transportation, field trips and enrichment activities, mental and chemical health support, and other supportive services tailored to a person's needs.
Give to Provide Sober Supportive Housing
Women at Haven Housing's Ascension Place sober supportive housing community choose sobriety each day. Your gift helps meet basic needs, provide support from a registered nurse, facilitates peer recovery and support groups, and hosts enrichment activities. In the words of one resident, you provide "support without judgment" as women heal, stabilize, and work toward their future goals.
Give to Renovate the Emergency Family Shelter
Earlier this year, Haven Housing embarked on a large-scale renovation of St. Anne's Place emergency family shelter that will add ventilation, a new HVAC system, and other improvements that are critical to the health and safety of families staying at the shelter. Despite delays, we are nearing the completion of the project and you can help us cross this finish line. Your gift will make the family shelter a dignified, safe, and healing space where families can recover and heal from a crisis, and plan for a brighter tomorrow.
From November 1 through Give to the Max Day on November 17th, your donation will be doubled! Current and former Haven Housing Board Members and the Ives Norsted Charitable Fund will match up to $18,350 of donations to Haven Housing dollar-for-dollar. Give during this time and turn your $20 into $40 or $100 into $200 for Haven Housing! Thank you to our generous matching donors!
