People Serving People Charities

People Serving People is more than just a shelter. We offer services like employment assistance, financial literacy classes, support groups, on-site childcare, afterschool programs, and more. Your gifts provide these programs, as well as meet essential needs for families – from diapers to winter coats to activities for children while they stay with us.

As the largest and most comprehensive family shelter in Minnesota, People Serving People depends on your support to see families thrive. Over 350 people, including 230 children, call People Serving People’s downtown and St. Anne’s Place shelter home every day. 

One of these families was Hangi and her daughter. Through her time at St. Anne's Place, Hangi was able to build a better life for her and her daughter. She received the support she needed to find a new apartment, enroll her daughter in childcare, and pursue a degree in nutrition.
