At Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota, we envision a world where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. Our mission is to unite people in building homes, communities, and hope. This year, you can help us make that vision a reality through our #DuckDuckDonate campaign!
Join us as we travel across Minnesota, visiting Habitat offices while playing a state-wide game of Duck, Duck, Donate! Along the way, you’ll learn about Habitat’s impact in your community, our statewide support efforts, and the community members whose lives have been transformed by homeownership. Follow along on social media to see which part of Minnesota our mascot, Ducky, is visiting next!
Here’s where you come in: Minnesota needs more affordable housing, and your support can make a huge difference. Are you #TeamDuckDuckGoose? Donate through our Goose campaign page. Or are you loyal to #TeamDuckDuckGrayDuck? Make your gift on the Gray Duck page. No matter which team you choose, your contribution will help more Minnesotans find safe, affordable homes.
After you donate, keep the fun going! Tag a friend and challenge them to join the #DuckDuckDonate movement. Together, you’ll amplify your impact and help us spread the word as we build toward Give to the Max Day.
Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota supports the 24 local Habitat offices by providing resources, training, and funding to help them build and repair homes in their communities. Additionally, Habitat Minnesota amplifies the impact of affordable housing statewide through advocacy, public policy initiatives, and community education, serving as a bold voice for affordable housing across Minnesota.
To learn more about the progress we've made over the past year, please take a moment to review our most recent annual report.
After Habitat homeowners move into their safe, stable, and affordable homes, countless opportunities open up for them. They can expand their families, adopt pets, further their education, pursue new careers, and, most importantly, spend quality time together as a family.
Meet a Recent Habitat Homeowner:
Linze Crandall became a Habitat homeowner this year in Eveleth, MN, by partnering with North St. Louis County Habitat for Humanity. Linze, a single mother, was born and raised in Duluth, MN, and works full-time as a janitor at the mines in Virginia, MN. Alongside her daughter, Brooklyn, they’ve cultivated a playful passion—collecting rubber duckies. Last year when Ducky visited North St Louis County for Give to the Max Day he found a cozy home with Linze and Brooklyn. Linze says, “My favorite duck would have to be Mr. Habitat, as it’s a reminder of our lives being changed forever.”
Before partnering with Habitat, Linze and Brooklyn lived in an apartment. Like many families, they longed for more stability and security. Finding Habitat for Humanity was a game-changer. “It was a wonderful experience! Being able to help build our very own home from the ground up and knowing we are getting a safe home of our own just made it that much better,” Linze shares. “I tell everyone to sign up for Habitat!” In April, this year, Linze and Brooklyn celebrated the dedication of their new home! When asked what she’s most excited for, Linze said: “I can’t wait to start a new chapter! Having a craft room and being able to host holiday dinners is going to be great, too.”
Please consider supporting Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota with a donation in an amount that is meaningful to you. Your contribution, whether through the #DuckDuckGoose or #DuckDuckGrayDuck campaign, will make a real difference in the lives of families in need of a safe, stable, and affordable place to live.
We are excited to see what we can accomplish as a community over the next year. Thank you for being a part of our mission to build homes, community, and hope.
