Golden Valley Girls Softball is a volunteer-based slow pitch softball association for girls who are in grades 3 through 12. GVGS is open to all girls—regardless of skill level—who are interested in playing slow pitch softball in a safe and healthy environment, where the focus is on having fun. The GVGS house league is a recreational league for all girls who want to play. Traveling teams are also formed for girls with the ability and desire to play in a more competitive game and atmosphere.
The purpose of GVGS is to teach the girls the fundamentals of softball and instill the ideals of good sportsmanship; to promote physical and mental development, good character, and a positive self-image; and to model responsible citizenship in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
The goal of GVGS is to provide each player a safe and positive softball experience while having fun, improving softball skills, and emphasizing teamwork and good sportsmanship. This will be accomplished in the spirit of healthy competition.
