“For me and my 4 kids to receive grief counseling at no cost is truly remarkable and life changing. I don’t know how we would be functioning without The Grief Club’s unending support and compassion. We are so lucky to have such a peaceful place like this in Minnesota. To receive all of these services in one location is so convenient. I wish I could personally thank every person who has made a donation to The Grief Club.” -Katie, widow and parent to 4 grieving kids
Mission
The Grief Club of Minnesota provides a place where grieving children, teens, young adults and their parent/caregivers find connections, share their experiences and heal.
Vision
To be a safe haven of support, compassion, education and hope, providing services by licensed mental health experts at no cost to participants so that children, teens and families navigate grief in healthy ways.
Who We Are
Founded by skilled, compassionate, licensed mental health counselors with over 45 years of experience in the fields of death, dying, and bereavement, The Grief Club of Minnesota is a rapidly growing, comprehensive, grief focused, trauma-informed, whole family support system for grieving children, teens, young adults and their parents/caregivers.
All Services are provided by licensed mental health counselors and are at NO COST to participants and include: individual counseling, family counseling, peer grief support groups, family grief series, trauma support, crisis response and community education.
How You Can Help
The Grief Club believes that every bereaved child, teen, young adult and their family, regardless of background or ability to pay, should have access to grief care services. Research shows that investing in grieving children and teens helps them build the resilience and coping skills necessary to adjust to a death, handle future challenges, and contribute to building a healthier and safer society. Grief is not a problem or an issue that can be fixed. It is a process of transforming pain and suffering into healing and hope.
The Grief Club of Minnesota does not charge participants and therefore we depend on the generosity of donors to be able to provide our important and meaningful services so that no one grieves alone.
Your financial support is imperative as we work together as a state to bring healing and hope to grieving families in Minnesota. Our high quality, high compassion services not only deeply benefit the individuals and families that we have the privilege of supporting, but help create healthy communities. Additionally, donations will ensure more kids and their parents can be served as we expand our staff of professionally licensed therapists, allowing us to make a deeper impact in the community through our core services. All financial gifts - no matter how big or small - make a big difference and are deeply appreciated. Thank you for being part of the healing!
A Place To Belong. It is human nature that we all want a place to go where we belong. A place where we feel accepted, welcomed and understood. We call our place of belonging a club.
