Mission
The Grief Club of Minnesota provides a place where grieving children, teens and families find connections, share their experiences and heal.
Vision
To be a safe haven of support, compassion, education and hope, providing services by licensed mental health experts at no cost to participants so that children, teens and families navigate grief in healthy ways.
Who we are
Founded by licensed mental health counselors with over 40 years of experience in the fields of death, dying, and bereavement, The Grief Club of Minnesota is a rapidly growing, comprehensive, grief focused, trauma-informed, whole family support system for grieving children, teens, and their families.
Services are provided at NO COST to participants and include: Individual counseling, family counseling, peer grief support groups, and crisis and trauma response.
The Grief Club believes that every bereaved child, teen and their family, regardless of background or ability to pay, should have access to grief care services. Research shows that investing in grieving children and teens helps them build the resilience and coping skills necessary to adjust to a death, handle future challenges, and contribute to building a healthier and safer society.
Because The Grief Club of Minnesota does not charge participants, we depend wholly on the
generosity of donors to be able to provide our critical services.
The Grief Club of Minnesota has an ever-growing waiting list of grieving children, teens, and families.
-- Your financial support will accelerate our growth and help us move into a larger, long-term space where we can better meet the needs of those who grieve. All financial gifts - no matter how big or small - make a difference and are deeply appreciated.
Grief is not a problem or an issue that can be fixed. It is a process of transforming pain and suffering into healing and hope.
