Greyhound Pets of America-Minnesota is the Minnesota Chapter of a national non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to finding loving, responsible homes for retired racing and also younger greyhounds that haven't been successful at various tracks throughout the country. We also take great pride in educating and informing the public that retired racers make excellent, loving pets.
Greyhound Pets of America-Minnesota has no kennels. All dogs coming into GPA-MN go into private foster homes. Our foster homes open their hearts and homes so that we can know much more about the dogs' personalities than if they were kept in a kennel situation. This also gives our dogs a head start in the adjustment to living in a home with a forever family. All dogs are cat tested when they arrive, and in many cases live in foster homes with cats. We also have an e-mailed periodic newsletter and various social events for recent and potential adopters to gain important information about Greyhounds.
