Help Us Build Homes. Build Community. Build Hope.

This Give to the Max Day, your generosity fuels Habitat’s work across Goodhue County—building homes, supporting hardworking families, training future builders, and strengthening neighborhoods. Every gift stays local and helps create stability, opportunity, and hope.

How Habitat Changes Lives

Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity helps working families become first-time homeowners through partnership and hard work. Habitat homebuyers purchase their market-priced homes with an affordable mortgage and invest hundreds of hours of sweat equity to help build them. They learn to manage their home and finances and witness volunteerism in our communities. Families pay taxes, gain stability, build equity, and strengthen neighborhoods.

Your generosity makes this powerful model possible.

Building the Next Generation of Skilled Workers

Through our Build for Tomorrow Initiative, we’re also working alongside the next generation of builders. In partnership with the Goodhue Wildcats and Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights, high school students work side-by-side with instructors and Habitat staff to construct homes that transform lives. It’s a win-win-win: families gain affordable housing, students gain hands-on trade skills, and our communities gain a stronger workforce for the future.

Your gift helps families today and strengthens our workforce for tomorrow.

Why Your Gift Matters in Goodhue County

· New single-family homes in Goodhue County average $371,175, making homeownership unattainable for much of our local workforce.

· 45% of renters are cost-burdened, paying more than 30% of their income on housing.

· Habitat has built 56 homes, completed 35+ critical repairs, and served 90+ families locally.

· Every $1 invested returns $1.95 to the local economy.

· 1,200+ volunteers power Habitat’s work each year.

Your donation supports homeownership, home repaid, student builders, neighborhood revitalization, and long-term community strength.

And the best part, your gift stays in Goodhue County. Your impact lasts generations.

"Give to the Max Day is an opportunity for our community to come together and make a tangible difference," said Bob Hawley, Executive Director of GCHFH. "Whether you're donating $10 or $1,000, every dollar contributes to our mission of building homes and hope for families in need."
