The Geek Partnership Society is a non-profit organization with a mission of celebrating imagination, inspiring creativity, and building our community through service and education

Programs

Vision Statement: The Geek Partnership Society (GPS) is a group of geeks working in cooperation with other organizations to better serve the geek community of the Saint Paul/Minneapolis area through:

• Celebrating all that is geek through year-round programs and activities designed to inspire and connect individuals with the broader geek community;
• Giving back to the greater St. Paul/Minneapolis community through organized activities, fundraising events and school interaction;
• Collaboration with schools and other local agencies, with a focus on connecting kids to the powers of science and literacy;
• Building partnerships with a broad array of local geek organizations to help us accomplish together what none of us could do alone

Primary Programs:

Space Camp Scholarship - covers the cost of sending one young person and one educator to SpaceCamp every year.

Project Lighthouse - providing grants to bring science education programs into schools, libraries and community centers. The grant program has served numerous Minneapolis, St. Paul, and suburban area schools, recreation centers and libraries. GPS has provided educational entertainment to thousands of metro area children, ranging in age from 5 to 18.

Arts Initiative - strives to increase the recognition of member artists by expanding their access to the public, promoting the arts in general and their geek-inspired work in particular, connecting individuals and businesses with the member artists, and collaborating with schools and arts organizations to expand the arts in the Twin Cities.
