About Frogtown Farm

Frogtown Farm is a thriving community initiative located in the heart of the Frogtown neighborhood, nestled within St. Paul's newest park. Our mission is to bring together diverse, inter-generational, and cross-cultural members of this vibrant community, fostering sustainability, community empowerment, reflection, and innovation. From an array of community workshops and festive celebrations like Juneteenth to engaging youth programs in collaboration with Saint Paul Public School’s Rec Check, Frogtown Farm is a destination for all who seek to be part of something greater.

It all started when Frogtown Farm was founded in 2013 through a grassroots, community-led initiative aimed at securing 13 acres of green space in the culturally rich neighborhood of Frogtown. In partnership with the Trust for Public Land, the City of St. Paul, and the Wilder Foundation, we transformed this area into Frogtown Park & Farm, a unique space that serves as both a natural oasis, a recreational hub, and an urban demonstration farm.

Today, the farm stands as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, deeply rooted in values of social equity, justice, and interconnectedness. Perched upon the hill, this urban farm has become a shining example of multicultural community collaboration, acting as a catalyst for economic development, wealth creation, community pride, and environmental sustainability.
