The Library Friends are volunteers who love our library and work together to:

• Maintain an association of persons interested in the Winona Public Library.
• Focus public attention on the Winona Public Library.
• Stimulate the use of the library’s resources and services.
• Receive and encourage gifts, endowments, and bequests to the library.
• Support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community.
• Support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights.

Why you want to support your library:

• It's a dynamic resource
• Its budget has shortfalls
• Library amenities are enriching lives
• The library promotes literacy for all ages
• Interlibrary loans offer diverse lending

You can do what the Friends do:

• Supplement the book budget: print, electronic & audiobooks
• Support library reading programs for children & adults
• Contribute to capital improvements
• Donate to professional development
• Participate in library advocacy by encouraging community awareness
• Volunteer at a fundraising event such as Concert in the Park
• Serve on the Friends' Board of Directors
• Donate gently used books/DVDs/CDs for the Friends' sale shelf in the library
