With your help,

Friends of the Library:

  • Provided books and magazines for those visiting Falls Hunger Coalition, living at Good Samaritan Assisted Living and River’s Edge Villa, and in prison

  • Offered a craft project every Tuesday of the year

  • Provided every graduating first grader a “YOU CAN READ!” book with a library card application inside

  • Provided funding for three summer reading presenters – an artist, musician and yoga instructor

  • Provided the community with a monthly opportunity to shop our used books sales, earning $827

  • Had volunteers scan books for sale to Library Consignment for $435

  • T-shirted 65 children who visited at least 5 times during summer reading

  • Gave prizes for the summer teen reading program where 32 teens read 252 books 

  • Continued the adult summer reading program that drew 51 participants who read 436 books

  • Continued Books for Babies for those born at Falls Memorial Hospital providing one free book at the hospital with our Reading Ready booklet which provides a free book to children any time someone records 250 books read to them, up until they enter Kindergarten

  • Helped 52 people create edible cars in the edible car contest during National Engineers’ Week
