The Friends of the Duluth Public Library is a membership-based organization that assists with the development and promotion of the Duluth Public Library and advocates its importance in the community.

The main goals of this organization are to maintain an association of persons interested in the Duluth Public Library; to focus public attention in a positive manner on library services, facilities, and needs; to support and cooperate with the Library in developing library services, facilities, activities, and programs for the community; and to raise funds through special events. All donations are tax deductible.

A donation at this time would be used for prizes for the Library’s Reading programs, supplies for curbside crafts, giveaway books that we can give out to kids and families, and PR materials to help promote our services. The library would be able to increase spending on downloadable e-books and audiobooks, which have seen a surge in popularity over the past couple of months

The Friends host many fundraising events throughout the year for the library including the Annual Book Sale in June.

Watch for more information about our events and activities on our website at http://www.friendsofdpl.com and on Facebook under "Friends of the Duluth Public Library."

THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for the support that you have shown for this most important of institutions.  It takes a community to support a library and you have shown us that support.
