Exodus Lending provides a just pathway away from the shame, isolation, and fear of payday debt towards stability, courage, and justice.

Payday loan borrowers may have taken out the loan due to an unexpected increase in expenses, a death in the family, a separation/divorce, a medical crisis, a home or car repair, or just needing a bit more money to get by one month. Yet instead of experiencing short-term relief, they became stuck in a continual, long-term cycle of debt -- only able to pay their fees and interest payments and unable to pay back the principal amount of the loan.

Exodus Lending frees people from this trap by paying off the loan in full to the payday lender. Our program participants pay Exodus Lending back the principal amount only and have at least a full year to do so (as opposed to the required 2 weeks for payday loans). Exodus Lending charges no interest or fees, so our borrowers can afford their other expenses and move on with their lives.

  

Since opening in 2015 we've helped more than 600 participants save more than $1,980,000 in interest and fees, access quality financial counseling, and reach savings goals -- while breaking the silence and stigma that surround payday lending. Let's continue to help more!
