Removing Barriers to Food Access

Many challenges can keep kids from getting weekend meals, including transportation issues, paperwork requirements, proof of need, limited food shelf hours, unfamiliar food items, and more. Here’s how Every Meal addresses these challenges:

• Transportation: Food arrives in kids' backpacks at school, so families don't need a ride, a bus pass, or a trip to a pantry.

• Eligibility & Cost: Always free to families. No applications, income checks, or proof of need, so families don't have to fill out a form or explain their situation.

• Familiar food: Five bag options reflect cultural, dietary, and situational needs, so kids get food they recognize and will eat.

• Nutritional value: Every bag is built for real nourishment, so parents aren't left stretching a tight budget to cover weekend meals.
