The House of Prayer is a retreat space and contemplative ministry of spiritual transformation with locations in Central Minnesota and Minneapolis.

The House of Prayer is a retreat space and contemplative ministry of spiritual transformation. Our mission is to assist in the ongoing work of discerning God’s voice, both within ourselves and in the world; provide guidance in the search for wisdom; teach forms of contemplative prayer; and offer training on the inner work of the spiritual life.

We sponsor a number of programs throughout the year in our retreat space on five acres in Collegeville, Minnesota. We also operate a day-retreat space in Minneapolis, The House of Prayer in the City, at 425 Oak Grove St. next to St. Mark's Cathedral. Both locations have weekly contemplative prayer in a Christian setting.

In a world increasingly dominated by noise and distraction, where large, knowledge-based conferences are more the norm than intimate retreats, the House of Prayer is a space apart for intimate and ongoing development in the contemplative arts and wisdom tradition. When you donate to the House of Prayer, you participate in our ministry, maintaining this space apart, growing our ministry to new areas of outreach, and providing ongoing spiritual development to those who come here on retreat.
