Support educational excellence at Elm Creek Elementary

Elm Creek Elementary, in Maple Grove, Minnesota, serves approximately 530 students and their families through a variety of programs. We are proud of our active parent volunteer program that supports student, classroom and building needs in a variety of ways. 

Students have music and/or physical education learning opportunities every other day. We believe it’s important to educate the “whole child.”  Music programs give our students performance opportunities.

Students are able to serve as student volunteers through participating in opportunities such as school safety patrol, our daily school news videos, spring newspaper, recycling team and more. Many of our students also take part in the D.A.R.E. program, Art Adventures, school sponsored clubs and a variety of Community Education enrichment courses offered throughout the year, including our school musical. 

Several special education support programs are available. Elm Creek also hosts a preschool program for 4-year-olds. Elm Creek houses a Kidstop program to care for students before and after the regular school hours.

Our active PTO supports a variety of fun, family events throughout the school year such as the annual School Carnival, a school dance, Turkey Bingo, a multicultural holiday shop event, field days and book fairs. 

Elm Creek uses Positive Behavior Intervention Supports, a proactive strategy of creating a positive and consistent learning environment for all students. Morning Meetings in each classroom help to build classroom community and an acceptance of differences. Student nametags promote safety and help to build school-wide community.
