Eagle Group of Minnesota Veterans Inc

Eagle Group of Minnesota Veterans, Inc. is an amazing organization of military service veterans (and others) dedicated to serving and supporting other veterans during their times of transition.  

Eagle Group holds monthly large gatherings where transitioning veterans find the very thing they miss the most from their time in service:  camaraderie.  These meetings typically feature an acclaimed expert speaking on such topics as career management, organizational skills, management, communication and networking. Sometimes Eagle Group convenes a panel of recruiters and/or hiring managers.  

 In addition to monthly meetings, Eagle Group holds weekly “Career Track” coaching sessions for transitioning veterans.  This is where our dedicated volunteers walk alongside veterans in transitions, providing guidance, encouragement and support during uncertain times.

 In 2018, Eagle Group initiated its annual Eagle Heroes Golf Tournament and Banquet, a unique “hiring event” for transitioning veterans that doubles as a fundraiser.  There, employers, recruiters and business owners donate registration fees and provide sponsorships for the privilege of golfing with some of our nation’s finest. After taking a pause in 2020 due to COVID-19, we plan to continue this event in 2021 as it has been tremendously successful both in terms of veteran employment and fundraising.

 One understated reason for supporting Eagle Group is our concern in regards to the rate of suicide among veterans.  By walking alongside our fellow veterans during their time of transition, our volunteers aim to “be there” for them.
