Duluth MakerSpace is a collaborative community work space, created to bring people together who share the urge to design, create, and modify.  People with diverse interests can create projects they might not have had the tools or expertise to do in the past. DMS allows individuals the opportunity to build on their dreams and make them a reality.  Members are all about making, learning, exploring and sharing.

The Duluth MakerSpace is one of many maker movements around the world, however, it's the only one in our community of the Twin Ports in Northern Minnesota.

The Duluth MakerSpace was founded by Joe and Miranda, who poured their heart, soul and funding into the start up. They felt it was important to give as many people as possible the opportunity to experience this collaborative outlet.

In the past year they have decided to start a family which has taken a lot of their time, and rightly so. With a heavy heart they decided to take a step back from DMS. They reached out to the members and asked what they wanted to do.  The members didn't want to see this valuable asset disappear from the community so several have stepped in to form a 501c3 and take over the running of the organization. Fantastic!

In order to continue to keep the member fees at an astonishing low rate we are asking for your  help.  This year when you are  giving to organizations you believe in please consider giving to the Duluth Makerspace. If you live in the area and know us, you know it is a gem in our community. If you are not aware we are here, please stop by, we would love to meet you and show you around.  We are changing, growing and re-designing all the time to make the space a better place for our members.  All of this takes a lot of time and dedication from the volunteers at DMS.  Join us, and start making!
